Getting Started: From CSVs to Your First Dashboard

Welcome to Taptic Data — your all-in-one AI-powered analytics platform for turning spreadsheets and data tables into live dashboards in minutes. This guide walks you through importing your first CSV, exploring your data, and creating a dashboard — all without writing SQL.

Step 1: Upload Your CSV or Excel File

From the main workspace, click Upload Data and choose your file. Taptic Data automatically detects your column headers, data types, and normalizes field names for consistency. Each upload becomes a table inside your company schema, ready to query instantly.

Step 2: Explore Your Data

Once uploaded, your data appears in the sidebar. Expand any table to view its fields. You can preview your dataset, filter by date or category, and use the built-in search to quickly find columns. Everything you see here feeds the AI context so your future prompts will be schema-aware.

Step 3: Generate KPIs and Charts Using AI

In the AI Console, describe what you’d like to see. For example:

“Show total sales per region for the last quarter.”

Taptic Data’s AI translates your prompt into clean, schema-specific SQL, executes it, and returns both a data table and a suggested visualization. You can edit the SQL, switch chart types, and adjust colors — all in one place.
