This Privacy Policy explains how Taptic Data, LLC (“Taptic Data,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our products, services, and websites (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1) Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication identifiers (via Firebase Auth).
  • Company Information: Company name and plan tier.
  • Billing Information: Payment details handled securely by Stripe; Taptic Data never stores card numbers.
  • Usage Data: Logs, IP address, browser type, timestamps, and interaction data to improve stability and security.
  • Uploaded & Connected Data: Files, tables, or queries you upload or connect from external databases (e.g., SQL Server) for analysis within your company workspace.

2) How We Use Information

We use collected data to provide and improve the Service, process payments, maintain security, communicate with users, and meet legal obligations. Example uses include account provisioning, analytics, troubleshooting, and product enhancement.

3) Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in secure AWS infrastructure (Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL and Amazon S3) with encryption in transit and at rest. Each customer’s data is isolated at the database schema level. Access is limited to authorized personnel following least-privilege principles.

4) Sharing and Sub-Processors

We share data only with trusted service providers acting as our sub-processors:

  • Firebase – authentication and identity management
  • AWS – database, storage, hosting, and SES transactional email delivery
  • Stripe – billing and payments

These partners process information solely to support the Service in compliance with data-protection requirements.

5) Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting legal@tapticdata.com. Account owners can delete data directly from within the Service or request full account deletion.

6) Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Deleted data is permanently removed from active systems and backups within a reasonable timeframe.

7) International Data Transfers

Taptic Data stores and processes information in the United States. Users outside the U.S. consent to the transfer of information to the U.S. and its applicable data-protection laws.

8) Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, we’ll update the “Effective Date” and post the new version on this page.
